ICED EARTH: Audio Interview With JON SCHAFFER Available

March 2, 2009

ABORT Magazine has uploaded an interview with ICED EARTH guitarist and founding member Jon Schaffer conducted by Grimm Culhane during a stop on the band's recent North American tour. You can download the chat as an MP3 audio file at this location.

ICED EARTH's new full-length studio album, "The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II)", sold 6,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release.

"The Crucible of Man (Something Wicked Part II)" continues where ICED EARTH's 2007 release, "Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked Part I)" left off. "The Crucible of Man" features the return of frontman Matt Barlow who was mainman/guitarist Jon Schaffer's original voice of choice to introduce the "Something Wicked" saga back in 1998 as a trio of songs which concluded their album, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

Fan-filmed video footage of ICED EARTH's February 21, 2009 concert at Boogaloo in Zagreb, Croatia can be viewed below.
